Thanks for this post! Very informative. I've had to look at a number of cell phone repair places because of a few bugs in my iPhone, which probably could have been avoided with proper care. Thanks again!

Pure insanity for someone from out of town. I tried calling & got no answer so I decided to ride over to it. Don't let them fool you. It's a text book store which was crazy. I stayed about 10 minutes without even a look. I just left.

starrynights is right: It's a bookstore called Textbook Brokers that's fixing phones on the side. They have a couple of guys who disappear into a backroom to do repairs.

I took my iPhone 4S in after I dropped it and cracked the screen. They told me they could fix it in 45 mins for $69.95 and tax. They took my phone, I went to lunch and came back an hour later, and hadn't heard anything from them. I waited another 45 mins and one of the guys who fixes phones came and told me that they couldn't fix it because an "SMD" was knocked off when the phone was dropped, and it wouldn't turn on anymore.
I used my phone to make a call RIGHT before I gave it to them, so I asked to speak to a manager. He said they wouldn't charge me, but they'd have to put my broken screen back on.

Now my phone doesn't work and I can't get a new one through my insurance because they voided it when they opened it.

DON'T GO HERE, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
