VA Tech is overrated. Let's see how far they slip in the rankings. BCS- Bull crap sympathy points system...hahahha. JMU over tech? am I awake. I guess they thought the game was a gimme and didn't plan accordingly! I thought the same thing about the interview. Is this guy a college student? "stuff" haha. Beamer-start recruiting student athletes and stop recruiting thugs

That's a $400,000 LOSS, Tech. Nice one.

FYI Tech paid JMU 400k to play them and presumably lose, but.... guess what.

I am so tired of seeing everything VT in the State of Virginia. VT is not the only school around and we know it's not the best. They were known for sports but JMU fixed that! I hope now people will recognize that JMU is and always will be on VT's level.
And to the person who said JMU was only for band geeks: submit your application, dollars to donuts you don't get in!

When I cast my vote in the coaches poll, I'm not gonna rank Boise State any higher than #20 in the poll. It's gonna take a lot of stupid coaches to vote #1 for Boise State to offset my #20 vote to make them about #3, that's for sure. LMAO!!!!

Really, how many schools do you know that stoop low enough to sell there merchandise in every store around - I even see this VT crap in thrift stores. Every Tom, Dick and Harry has a VT shirt or cap. They're not the caliber person I'd want representing my school. Where are the alumni who care? I certainly would want to recreate my school's image. Keep going down the path you are, next thing we'll hear is one of these thugs is heading up the alumni association.

Just happy to have beaten a traditionally strong VT football program for the first time in 7 tries. Don't see any reason for unfavorable comments about VT or UVA, their students or sports teams, as I've always rooted for their success too, except on the infrequent occasions when JMU meets them in competition.

FCS team tops 13th ranked team in the country
Travis Ponton Assignment Editor
September 11, 2010
BLACKSBURG - Drew Dudzik's 12 yard touchdown run early in the 4th quarter sealed the deal on arguably the biggest upset so far this year in college football, as the James Madison University Dukes defeated the 13th ranked Virginia Tech Hokies Saturday afternoon, 21-16.
JMU, a member of the NCAA's FCS subdivision, formerly Division I-AA, becomes the latest underdog story of college football, defeating the Hokies, who are ranked 13th in the country in the larger FBS subdivision of NCAA Division I football.
After a heartbreaking loss to Boise State in their opener in Washington, D.C. on Monday night, the Hokies were looking to rebound against the Dukes, but despite outgaining JMU by over 100 total yards of offense (361 to 235), the Hokies now fall to an 0-2 record on the season.
Running back Ryan Williams gained 90 yards on the ground for the Hokies, and quarterback Tyrod Taylor also ran for 86 yards, but the Hokies also lost two fumbles. The Dukes move to a 2-0 record on the season.
Watch CBS 6 tonight at 6 for more coverage on this game and more action around the state.

They did - they're gone - didn't even make the poll. Finally, all the Hokie Birds have quieted down for a while. What a cult - say "hi" to Jimmy Jones for us.
