Children! Children! Put you thinking caps on. There is no stopping a religious movement if it's getting support. The success of ISIS is not due to military might. And ISIS is not killing "thousands" of people, as the news media would have you believe. And the forces combatting ISIS are not making any gains. ISIS is not losing. It is winning in Islamic lands because there is support for it.
And to those "pea brains" who think we can march into an Islamic Holy War, and decimate peoples because of their religious leanings, guess again.

We all will get them with Banjo's!

No really in the US many people have guns, even more like Texas,
Oklahoma etc. Can you see ISIS trying to hold people hostage
at a store in Alabama? I really do think even Granny would pull out her
Colt 45 and shoot back at them! "I seen what you made that kid do!"
Fake or not they pissed off all granny's and mothers all over the world.
Granny will pull out her gun and fire back now if she sees a ISIS!

Also you know the store parking lot would be full
of pickup trucks with people with shot guns etc.
They would have the place surrounded!
"Have no fear the rednecks are here!"

Brooklyn style? Yes, East to West it's going to be the best.
There are many places that will shoot back!

And that is ok! America has and always will protect it's self,
the Government and the People will take action.
America is about freedom!
It's like a time of war really with ISIS and the guns will be
getting out more in the US like they have before in history.
There is a time for peace and a time for war.
If things get bad they get worse for ISIS!

So really just duck for cover and look out for those pickles!
Things will get better down the road and now I hope to see more
countries standing up against ISIS!
Mexico? Pancho villa MF! Ra-tata!

Really ISIS is stupid being what they do and not caring
about the consequences of such actions they are facing now!
They did it to themselves!

http://walmartramen.blogspot.com/2015/01/isis...

For the most part I am sure noted all over the Middle East about
how ISIS just comes and takes over a place pushing their type of fear,
into the places they take over for a time.
Fear like Hillbillies in the backwoods give to the city foke.

Thank you walmartramen, you are right even without the training when we know the threat,we fight back. I read these people that think they will come here if we don't go there. How are they going to do that? They don't have the best Navy in the world at their disposal, nor the best Air Force to move large groups and supplies. They have to go to the nearest airport and book a flite with some airlines putting themselves into the system. Once in the system we know they are coming and we meet them at the door,I know it is not really that simple but it can be. We Americans are fighting back on planes now. Here are some tips for fighting back on the plane. Pillows and blankets are all over a plane and a pillow or blanket can easily render a knife or razor useless, jackets can do the same thing. The snap of a belt buckle in the face or even the keys and change in your pocket in the face can give you the opportunity to enter their space and take them out.

This is how. Feinstein made another good point on Meet The Press, when she said " they crossed the border into Iraq before we even knew it happened,if Isis crossing the Mexican border into the US doesn't cross your mind,it should." That's how! Oh,and when I work my next flight,i'll be sure to tell my crew all of your wonderful suggestions(eye roll).

All good advice. However, the attacker always has the advantage of surprise, especially when the victim is in a familiar, comfortable environment. By the time most people are aware that they are in danger, it's usually too late.

I doubt that a terrorist/s could pull off another air hijacking because any terrorist/s attempting to hijack an airplane has somewhat lost the element of surprise since 9/11. Passengers are now aware of the possibility and also know that a terrorist hijacking would end in their deaths, meaning that there would be no additional risk in resisting.

Thank you LWsciencejunkie,I'm not sure that the attacker always has the advantage, most of the martial arts that I have studied teach that you move on the other persons attack, all defense but once the other moves the defense can be pretty devastating. As a nation are technology can put us in the same position. Here is another thing you as a science person might think about. In Vietnam I found out that I was pretty good at the point position, going along all of a sudden the hair on the back of your neck would tell you to look closer, sure enough there would be a trip wire,or you would get sniped at. Sometimes while sparring it would be like time slowed down, there would be no way you could touch me,in the zone, but the instant that I would think WOW, it would be gone. I believe that a true warrior,or master, could put themselves in this level of consciousness at will,I'm not there yet but I know it is available. I have read about convergence divergence zones in the brain that can bring about muscle response without going through the total thought process. The consciousness of human beings has some real surprises for us if we can ever get past this crap religion wants to put on us.

Absolutely. I have read at least one study that investigated the sense of time slowing down when the brain is awash with adrenaline. Bungee-jumpers were the subjects of the study. Time itself, of course, does not slow down, but metal processes speed up.

Other creatures have more highly developed senses of imminent danger; either because of their sharper senses or instincts.

The time to dump religion was yesterday. And if we can't dump it, we should tax it.

Thank you LWsciencejunkie, are we sure that time exist outside of consciousness. In a sense I would say that the person under the influence of adrenalin their brain has speeded up perhaps bypassing functions that aren't needed. I think that animals have a connection to the life force around them at all times and can perhaps sense intent, when you watch there seems to be a connection often between predator and prey and this is what I think I was able to tap into on my walking point. I think when we evolved the level of self awareness that makes us human we lost that connection to the higher consciousness of the life force and this is what we are after in a spiritual quest. The spiritual when present in some like Jesus and Mohammed comes thru them and inspires others but when put into words turns into nothing but dogma. Perhaps someday we will connect with our true selves again. I have read about peoples (primitive mostly), that still seem to have that connection, the native people of Hawaii and Australia seem to know when a need is there and act on it without any communication taking place. During the sunami in the Indian ocean a few years back a group of primitive people were recorded going to high ground before the wave was even close to them. That kind of connection would be real handy when dealing with terrorist. You have my mind racing now and I love it, thanks.
