MADRID: Spain's economy contracted in the third quarter, although at a slower pace than in previous quarters, official data showed Thursday, contrasting with a return to growth elsewhere in Europe.

Spain is not likely to see any improvement as long as Mr. "grin and bear it" Zapatero continues in office. To top off his incompetence, he is now trying to raise taxes to make up for his "drunken sailor" spending in the past few years, most of which was simply to garner more votes! The Spanish people need to wake up and see what this man is all about: spending his life in office at whatever it takes!
