I rather take the chance and have a freak result, chances are Singapore will be better off without PAP. Times are no better now with them, why are they so sure without them we are all doomed. Are they demi-god? If they are so good Singapore will be able to combat 26 year high inflation easily given our sizeable reserves and resources at the gahmen disposal. Yet seeing the highly paid million dollars minister brought me a wake up call that if nothing is done to stop the elitists from further ruining the nation we all have to play our VOTE well. STOP giving the PAP 100% rights over us, they are suppose to be civil servants not us citizens as slaves.

I think LKY did improve the economic state of Singapore over the years. Problem is that over these years, Pigs and Dogs in the system are reaping most of the profits, while the sheeps are just "Meh Meh" over how great Singapore is and not knowing that their profit shares are being stolen by the pigs and dogs. WE the remaining ones can only watch in hunger while the PIgs and Dogs feast into our deposits.
Anyway, I support the views of the first blogger. I may not be capable enough to be a politician in the opposition party, but at least I will give my vote to one of them in the next election. I do not actually bother anymore who the opposition is, as long as he is not a spy from the PAP. It actually does not matter anymore if anyone will bring down Singapore since life now is already terrible with or without PAP. I would take the chance and start all over again with everyone having a fair chance in the system. I sincerely hope that PAP can be brought down and the so-called meritocratic system set up by LKY to be destroyed. It is obvious that meritocracy is no longer the theme of the country. It is much more about the selection and farming of inbreeded Pigs and Dogs to take over the management of this system. This is obvious. Otherwise, under a truly meritocratic system, LKY's son could not have been the Premier. Thousands of more qualified Singaporeans could have been put into the job.

The comment seems like a knee-jerk, fear reaction to what has happened in the recent Malaysian general elections. All i can say is that, sure there is some upheaval but you don't exactly see M'sia collapsing right now do you? A country is much much more than its ruling party... Have more faith in yourself and your fellow citizens, people!

I am really fed up with the way the ruling party in Singapore is muffling the opposition eg suing the opposition candidates over defamation, speakers corner etc. The PAP's behaviour is outrageous and unfair. People who muffle others have something to hide. Despite all their success, I am so mad that I will take the risk and vote for the opposition to put a stop to this muffling.

The result of all this muffling is that a voter like me who use to support PAP in the past but is really unhappy over issues such as the 7% Goods and Service Tax could not get somebody to champion my cause. In HongKong the voters forced the government to withdraw their GST plans. I want the same in Singapore.
