And they still haven't gotten an armed security guard or trained attack dog?

They have insurance for that. Besides, a guard dog would scare off customers and be a major liability should it bite someone. Plus, you'd have to train people to handle the dog, or hire a contract security guard who is K-9 qualified.

Besidses, guard dog are used primarily for "seek and destroy" missions. In other words, they are deployed, not stationary. A guard dog would be very bored hanging out at a jewlery shop. And, in Puerto Rico, they'll just shoot it, even if it's the store mascot (owner's pet Rotweiler, German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois or Dobermans Pincher).

I disagree. I have seen well-trained guard dogs in the city of Philadelphia. They only attack on order by the proprietor. I knew a high-end jeweler who had hired one. The dog was very well behaved. Snatch and grab robberies are the newest type of theft. Our malls in this area are replete with this type of robbery. An attack dog is a detterent. A robber would rather target a business without one.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Scorpio

There are problems concerning money today, especially if someone thinks they aren't getting their fair share of it. Mars turns retrograde in your house of public matters, so issues from the pat will need to be dealt with in weeks to come. Sort things out quickly, before they become even more fraught.
