That's not the case. The Polish goverenment now currently implementing an expansionary Fiscal policy,sacreficing it's won Budget resources in order to keep people at job avoid massive decrease in aggregate demand. Another element of AD is bviously Investment,Polish economy proved as stabilized at some stage which insured the high business confidance amoungh the potentional investors,so consequently we can expect some rise in investment as well. Finally, they set a stronger control on exports to insure the high quality goods are sold. On this case Polish good are now very competetive in world market,because of low production costs,price is low as well and at the same time majority of them are proven as high quality goods.
So I agree with you point that Consumptin carries heaviest weight in AD, so fall in consumption is a direct threat of unemployment,however I do believe that this loss is balanced by increase in investments,goverenment spending and Exports. So Polish economy can now mantain the same level of unemployment avoiding it's futher increase and then over the long run,when consumer confidance will be restored: Show a massive rise in GDP without much threat of inflation.
