Pround being poor wrote: <quoted text> Jun: What level? 3rd level? This is the biggest problem in the Philippines, If you're poor the richs can call you anything they want. They thinks that they're better because they're richs! I have news for you! You're going down six feet under just like the rest of us poor people! Proud being poor among Filipinos living abroad, wahaha, you'll be then the richest among the poor if you'll stay here in the Philippines. You'll never be called poor here maybe your status there abroad you are poor. You'll be surprise if I tell you that I had manage bangus fishpond for 5 years which I live with poor people, and stayed in a remote area for 10 years in a province with farmers and felt to be how poor they are, so am I. Now I am here in Manila, a tricycle driver, a single parent with 5 kids, now whose poor between us? Do not take my comment literally, try to understand it very well. You are mentally poor if you could not accept what I am about to explain to you. For 20 years I mingled with these poor people, in my own statistic 15% from these real poor people I called them less fortunate and the rest could never be trusted. Why? The 85% are living in the world of survival of the fetus. They would do almost anything in times of needs just to survive. All my life I live fair but how many times I was deceived for being good to them. Now I've learned a lot to trust my own instinct. Being poor makes them stubborn and narrow minded because of lack of education. Trouble comes when they stick to their own knowledge which is limited, like a wild bitch protecting her puppies. Snatchers, robbers, holdappers, killers, gamblers, vandalism, rapist and the likes are with them because of their remarkable instinct and behavior. I am not against them, I repeat, I am not against real poor people. Why don't we, especially the government educate them. Why don't we join force on how to educate them not only on a kind of schooling but in Moral Values. In relation to Erap, among the presidentiables, from my comments above, the level I am talking about is self explanatory.

I wouldn't want him as President. But it might be interesting to have him as a buddy to party with. A case of beer, a couple of girls and a karaoke machine. Good times.

The biggest problem in the philippines is the people who have money they're putting down the poor because they're poor and don't have any education. But, Made no mistake richs or poor going down the same direction, six feet under! Erap pa rin until the end!

You really think it matters how you vote in the Philippines? Like they dont rig elections here? Dont pass Erap off as a joke, stop him from even being qualified to run. With his money and influence he may just be the next president if your not careful. I heard he got the blessing from Arroyo to run and that only means one thing, she gets a cut of what he plunders.

There's nothing in there with Erap. Let's give a chance to those with potentials to do it. Erap has had his chance already - and he did so poorly. And even in a negative way. What's your take, Miss LA?

Erap is paherap talaga... It's really hard to explain to these poor people with limited knowledge what would happen if erap wins. And sometimes it's so funny to listen why they like erap. Those who will vote for erap is just a mere erap fun. Erap for president and Erap pa rin, I bet both of you are going to watch the movie "Ang Tanging Pamilya".

You don't need to be rich or be an Einstein to know that Erap cannot do anything good for this country. We know very well he has a penchant of avenging himself to those people who was against him. Like Richard Gordon, one of his critics, once he became the President, he issued a Administrative Order No.1 Removing #1 the forced removal of Gordon as Chair of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. So please don't give me that line coz everyone is so rich here and poor people are being look down, I was one of those people who suffered during Erap admin, he did nothing good for our economy. Guess what the poor people will even become poorer than ever if he won as president. On top of that, he will make Jueteng legal. Oh yeah your in US so why do u care. U will just send dollars to your family and they are not affected anymore. Why would u care for your fellow men here living in poverty?$1= PHP56 of course take advantage of that. kanya kanya ulit. Governing Philippines is not like Erap movies.Erap time to retire and enjoy your old age.

Jun Medina, All I can remember during Erap's time was lack of work and it was scary. No security. I am not pro GMA but been working here in Makati city for 2yrs, I easily find job. Despite GMA's corruption the investor view her administration as stable since she's been the president for 8yrs and any coup attempt against her were easily foiled. They see her as a very strong leader compare to Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who was a man and was remove from his ofc by coup de etat. Thaksin fight dirty like GMA. Hopefully, the next President will be a true leader and lead us to the new millinea. I am sure corruption can't be stopped nor poverty can be solved, it will take time but at least we can see progress and changes.

You must be really out of your mind saying something like that. Are you human? what planet are your from! I hate to tell you. But, Erap going to win if the election in 2010 is clean. But, As we all know in fact Gloria Arroyo, Et al. will do everything in their power to CHEAT, CHEAT, BIG TIME because that is the only way they're going to win. Just likw what they did during 2004. Presidential election, Except this time it be easy as 1,2,3. All they have to do is program the computer machine to do their CHEATING OPERATION!

I assure and guarantee you Erap will not win. We will make sure of that. The Philippine youth are now more aware than ever. No youth will vote for Erap.
Erap is popular coz of his movies and his failed administration but no one wants him to be president again, only those who are too loyal and a fan of his movie want him. Honestly, no youth watch his movie, its so CHAKA!!!lol BTW, his fan based are as old as him.
If GMA cheat, I am sure something is going to happen to her if she do that. I hope for her safety, she don't try anything. The coming election is now being watch by everyone here. Many are looking forward to it.
