Scott Philadelphia, PA	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #1 Aug 31, 2008 the town is called Cricova, it is very true, supposedly the largest underground wine storage in all Eastern Europe. Cricova is south of Chisinau. The Cricova winery has a store in Chisinau on Stephan cel Mare St.

You can drive around in them with a car, we did, but then again we knew someone. Well worth the visit and truly amazing. Temp stays a constant 18'C winter or summer in the caves.
