'Let's have fun' - 3 young women among 5 held drunk

Five people - two Kuwaitis and three young women, two Iraqis and a Jordanian - who were found under the influence of alcohol, have been referred to the concerned authorities, reports Annahar daily. The daily added, the arrest came during a security check at a checkpoint.

Kuwait, Palestine sign deal, MoU on political cooperation

RAMALLAH, Sept 14, : Kuwait and Palestine inked Sunday an agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding on political cooperation between the two Arab countries. The agreement and MoU were signed by Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Malki with the presence of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Amir says to share honoring by UN with Kuwaiti people

NEW YORK, Sept 11, : His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah attended a reception held in his honor by Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations Ambassador Mansour Ayyad Al-Otaibi. The reception came on the occasion of naming His Highness as a 'Humanitarian Leader' by the UN at a ceremonial event held at its headquarters on Tuesday.

Three Kuwaitis accused of smuggling drugs bailed out

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10: Three Kuwaitis who were remanded to police custody for allegedly attempting to smuggle into the country 100 kilos of hashish, have been released on bail of KD 200 each, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, defense attorney Nawaf Al-Tuwaijri pleaded on behalf of the three suspects and requested to release them on bail.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 3: The delayed announcement of the ministerial reshuffle demanded by the Parliament might harm the interests of Kuwait, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting MP Yusuf Al-Zalzalah. Hoping HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak will reshuffle the ministers soon, Al-Zalzalah warned any further delay may lead to negative incidents which nobody is interested in.
