Don't count on the chinese, koreans, and taiwanese coming anytime soon, they aren't stupid people. They don't like being "ripped off" with the high prices of Hawaii's hotel industry & tourist market!!!

I like an ad that says:

Flexible schedule
We accomodate your personal schedule

Otherwise, you can't lure me to a hotel job. I like to have social life with families and friends. Home-based jobs are now easy to get, so these hotels need to be more flexible on schedules.

Finally someone who hit the nail right on the head, when are these hoteliers going to realize that they too are to blame for this sudden drop in Hawaiian tourism, they set the bar so high they priced out middle income vacationers, I bet they wish they had some tourism from anyone now, only going to get worse until they get it, Mexico and Central America are not feeling the pinch, maybe cause you can get a rate under 200.00/night, wake up Hawaii, before it is really too late.
Please no replies with the diversification of the islands required, tourism is the number 1 industry and needs to be addressed, real quick.

We know several families and couples who say they are not returning. They say hotel fees, restaurants, way out of line $$$$. Also the homeless issues scare them away. Everyone who goes to Hawaii comes home with a few horror stories. Scares others from even thinking about going. Hawaii, except for the elite, who can stay in the expensive resorts, sheltered, is no longer a desired destination for the middle class visitors.
