This is the way of things to come, greater mobility to obscure Pacific and other offshore locations for the suddenly rich and very anxious Chinese, the better to be within ranges of their anonymous little investments, and certainly beyond the reach of the party disciplinary and confiscation committee.

Still barking and biting the hands that feed you? Wonder why your English is so incomprehensable to many. We often have to guess what you are actually saying. On a good day, I only get to understand 20% of what you say! Indeed, it has been rather difficult for us all to know what you are writing!

Fiji could easily become the next Hawaiian islands made by the Chinese, if a Chinese airline uses Fiji as the hub of the airline to connect Macao with Rio de Janeiro; San Diego/ Acapulco with Sydney.

So Fiji: you need to kiss the asses of the Chinese to become prosperous.

Don't tell me that this is not a feable dream with so many Chinese airlines on the way to expansion.

Imagine a huge airport in Fiji like the size of the one in Dallas/ Fortworth with one airline, the American Airline, being the in control of all the air traffic worldwide. One needs to see the Dallas/Fortworth airport to be convinced that something like that will turn Fiji in the next Hawaii.

I have read that the Chinese government have plans to connect Macao to any point in Brazil because both places have Portuguese culture.

Then the US and Mexican connection with Australia by-passing Hawaii.

What takes to see this to come true? That Fiji kiss the asses of the Chinese powerfuls or guarantee the Chinese investment returns by incorporating with China under the 'One Country, Two Systems' policy.

Really this is not a bad idea!!!

A point to ponder!

If you have a better idea for the future of Fiji throw it out. Hawaii is what it is, is because Hawaii has the US's backing.

Fiji is at the cross road to choose China or Australia, and China at this point seems more likely to be the one country who can support this idea.

A perfect start for China is to link the three ex-Portuguese colonies - Macao, Brazil and East Timor.

Then the second step will be linking Toronto, San Diego, Mexico City and Sydney.

Kissing Chinese asses could be very productive for the Fiji's.
