1. There were plenty of witnesses to the Armenian Genocide. Start with the recently translated 1923 memoir of Bishop Balakian, and the memoir of Venezuelan-born Turkish officer de Nogales. Although de Nogales was virulently racist against Armenians, he clearly recounted the murder of unarmed Armenians by Gendarmes and Army units, and was told by the Diyarbekir Governor that he had personally been told by Talaat to kill all Armenian civilians and steal their property for the state. There are thousands of witnesses other than Armenians, Greeks, Pontians and Assyrians; hundreds of missionaries, German consuls, German Army officers and enlisted men, German civilian workers, Americans, Austrians, Hungarians, you name it.

2. Prior to 4.24.1915, English newspapers available to the Triumverate told of the English government's intention to hang the leaders for crimes against humanity. Accordingly, they tried to hide their crimes: Turkish customs seized all cameras and films from anyone going to, or coming from the interior. Armin Wegner described the extraordinary lengths he had to go to hide his equipment and films. Similarly, as is the case with Hitler and the Reich, there was no document outlining the final solution for the Armenians, Pontians, Greeks or Assyrians.

3. Why is denial of the Genocide so important to you? For that matter, why is it the centerpiece of what unpaid morons like yourself do in an average day? The descendants of the murdered bear witness for the same reason Primo Levi and Elie Wiesel did, but what's it to you? Your grandparents probably didn't hack any Armenain women to death or stab their fellow [unarmed] Christian soldiers to death, so why is demeaning Armenians and sspitting on the graves of our dead your passion?

half the people here are probably way too lazy and ignorant to actually research and read about what ACTUALLY happened. I love my Armenian friends, and I despise the rude Armenians on these forums who are the main cause of the lack of peace between Turks and Armenians.

there r plenty of personal eyewitness documents showing atrocities on both sides. just one example is an eyewitness account of a russian officer of atrocities against turks by the armens, during the russian occupation, there are others u can easily find on the net. So if there were atrocities committed by both sides, then what TR has been saying all along makes sense, no genocide.
