Key Observations from Chivas USA's loss to Sporting Kansas City

In case you didn't notice, there was a game played yesterday and no, I'm not talking about that relevant Seattle Sounders vs. Real Salt Lake match up at Century Link Field. This one involved a team that might only have 6 weeks left to live.

Chivas USA winless drought reaches 10 games with loss to Sporting KC

Defending league champion Sporting Kansas City, surprisingly, entered Friday night's game at StubHub Center with the same four-game losing streak as Chivas, but the 4-0 KC victory was rather predictable. Kansas City got first-half goals from Dom Dwyer, his 19th of the season, and Benny Feilhaber, and Graham Zusi and Claudio Bieler got in on the act in the second half as Chivas' winless streak reached 10 games .

Week 26: New York Red Bulls 2-1 Sporting Kansas City

It was an important win for RBNY, achieved with a new formation, but this game will largely be remembered for THAT goal by the captain... Shortly after half-time of RBNY's back-and-forth, late-season home game against Sporting Kansas City , the Red Bulls started a break down the left: Thierry Henry flicked the ball out to Roy Miller , who pitched his pass to Peguy Luyindula , in space with three defenders back-tracking ahead of him. A look up told Luyindula his only forward option was Bradley Wright-Phillips , who was moving with the back line but well marked; Peguy switched play over to Lloyd Sam on the right.
