The Jamaicans got off to a good start with Rohan Reid scoring two quick goals within the first six minutes of the first period to take control of the game. Jahshaun Moore got the Guyanese back in the game after taking advantage of a misjudgement by Jamaican goalkeeper Kirk Porter in the 10th minute before Reid completed his hattrick after converting a freekick three minutes later.
