    Cyprus is one of nine EU member states where the percentage of employment for non-citizens of the state is higher than that of Cypriot citizens, according to Eurostat. The percentage of employment in 2015 for Cypriots reached 79.3%, whereas for non-Cypriots it reached 82.2%, with 82.7% being citizens of other EU countries, and 81.5% for those who were not citizens of other EU countries.
