    There was-and will be-lots of this type of going in Bolivia, but Andrew Short negotiated the first half of the marathon stage successfully, opting to stick to his plan of finishing each stage and learning instead of going for top results. After all, the second half of this marathon stage will be nearly 308 miles long and with no spare parts allowed in the bivouac, the tires and the rest of the bike have to carry on with what they've got.
