    I totally agree -- I've known people with PhDs who have no common sense -- and people with no degree and little formal education who could "engineer me under the table" @Susan: Buster Keaton was truely an engineer at heart . My dad used to love the old black-and-white silent folms -- Buster Keyton, Harold Lloyd, Charlie Chapplin, Laurel and Hardy -- I remember watching them with him, which sparked my love of them also Hi Max, Over the years I am glad to say that I have started up many departments, and in nearly every case I have handed these departments on to another engineer.
