    HO CHI MINH CITY, July 28 -- Vietnam detected 805 child abuse cases, including 696 cases of children being abused sexually, in the first half of this year, the General Department of Vietnam Police said at a seminar here on Friday, China's Xinhua news agency reported. In the six-month period, localities reporting many child sexual abuse cases included Hanoi capital with 32 victims, southern Tay Ninh province with 31, southern Kien Giang province with 30, and Ho Chi Minh City with 28. According to statistics of the general department, in the 2014-2016 period, over 4,100 cases of child sexual abuse occurred nationwide with more than 80 per cent of victims being females.
