Ubisoft seems to be culling its online free-to-play game portfolio this week, announcing that both The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot and Ghost Recon Phantoms will be shutting down this year. The latter's demise is especially notable because Ghost Recon Phantoms was Ubisoft's first foray into F2P online shooter design, and the game itself had a decent run -- by the time it shuts down on December 1st, it will have been operating in some form for over four years. The quarreling between our three heroes has come to an end as the tallies are in from the final Open House event and the character most played and beloved by the community is the ever faithful Sir Painhammer, Knight of Opulencia.
