    In an interview with WorthPlaying both Square Enix's senior director of PR, Reilly Brennan, and Io-Interactive studio head, Hannes Seifert confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of Hitman: Absolution was coming to Xbox One via the backwards compatibility feature. An exact date on when this would happen was sketchy to say the least, with both Brennan and Seifert simply saying that the specifics were up to Microsoft.

Joining the growing lineup of backwards compatible games are Alan Wake's American Nightmare, LEGO Batman, Sam and Max: Beyond Time and Space and Trials HD, according to the company's updated list.

    Thanks to an interview in WorthPlaying spotted by VideoGamer , IO interactive studio head Hannes Seifert and Square Enix's Senior Director of Public Relations Reilly Brennan, Hitman: Absolution might not be the only title heading to the service. Seifert stated that he would like to see all of the Xbox 360 titles made by the studio made backwards compatible on Xbox One.

    Alan Wake's American Nightmare briefly popped up under the backwards compatibility download list on Monday along with Red Dead Redemption, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo Wars, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. While those other titles have yet to surface, it suggests they'll be following shortly. As with all backwards compatible Xbox 360 games, you get all the perks of an Xbox One title like Game DVR, screenshots and Windows 10 streaming.
