Not in dispute: after the sheriff of Hunterdon County and two subordinates were indicted on 43 counts by a grand jury, the Christie administration that very day moved in to strip the case from local prosecutors, promptly asking the judge to overturn those indictments .

    Essentially it boils down to a statistics professor noticing an unusual trend in voting patterns in states using electronic polling machines with a shift to republicans as voting precincts get larger. The usual assumption is that larger urban areas would trend towards democrats.

    In a typical water fountain discussion my Conservative Republican co-worker raised the issue of his 2014 taxes and how unfair our tax system is when he has to pay 28% to the Feds on his six figure income while so many people paid nothing. I agreed with him that our taxes were unfair and said it was much worse than he realized.

Mike Lee have been shut down in the Senate Monday night in their efforts to upend Senate rules over an amendment to the highway funding bill to renew the Export-Import Bank. Cruz though had been unable to get enough to support to press a rules fight on the issue on Sunday, and then on Monday, Sen. Mike Lee opted against a further rules challenge on the Obama health law, instead endorsing the idea of using a different effort to repeal the health law.
