    The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which has accused auto lenders of unintended yet de facto discrimination toward minorities, now has been accused of similar behavior in its own ranks. The accusation came from U.S. Rep. Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, chairman of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, when CFPB Director Richard Cordray appeared before the committee on March 16. The House panel, Hensarling said, had checked the CFPB's own pay plans, using methodology similar to that which the agency has used to determine whether financial companies' lending practices end up being discriminatory.
