    On Tuesday the Met Office issued a yellow rain warning between 12.15am and 12pm on Wednesday, and one for wind and rain on Friday between 9am and 9pm. Ahead of the weather warning, a speed restriction is in place between Porth and Ystrad Rhondda meaning trains have to run at a reduced speed on the single line.

    A shop in Ynyswen and two-semi detached houses in Porth were destroyed by fire within hours of each other Then, at 12.30am on Sunday emergency services were called to another fire involving two houses near The Colliers pub in Glynfach Road, Porth . A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said they were called at 12.30am and the fire was out by 2.24am.
