One of the incidents took place when thieves broke into a house in Broctone Close, Broughton Astley between 2.30pm and 2.45pm on Tuesday, October 7. They entered the house through the back of the property but the burglars were disturbed by a burglar alarm, causing them to leave without taking anything.

The car Mr Asprey was in, a blue Vauxhall Corsa, was travelling along the A426 Lutterworth Road, in the direction of Leicester. Mr Asprey was taken to University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire, where he was in a critical condition, police said last Tuesday.
