    A report on Halfway Houses was published last week following a visit by three inspectors on April 29 and 30. Head Ryan Driver and pupils Harvey, Dylan, Olivia and Amy, all 11 read the Ofsted report at Halfway Houses Primary School The curriculum was praised for providing a wide range "very interesting" topics while the report also found: "Pupils have very positive attitudes towards learning, their work and each other." On the quality of teaching, inspectors said: "Teachers work closely together to develop tasks which are usually well matched to the different needs of the pupils in their classes."

    Local and state officials are pushing for legislation that would require the state to notify town leaders before group homes are established in neighborhoods. State Rep.
