William Heaps, 55, of Buckingham Drive, Swadlincote , was handed a 12-month community order, with 80- hours unpaid work, was ordered to pay 85 costs and an 85 victim surcharge for being the owner of a dog that was dangerously out of control which injured a person in Swadlincote on April 29. The dog, a Labrador, must be muzzled and on a lead when it is out in public or it will be destroyed.
