An autopsy report released Wednesday showed the 56-year-old had in his system traces of the antihistamine doxylamine, which is sometimes used in sleep aids and can cause drowsiness.

Russell, of Wagoner, fled the scene after rolling a car with five passengers including two teenagers on Highway 51 around 7:30 p.m. Roberto Huff, 25, was transported by Airevac to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa where he was pronounced dead by emergency room personnel. The four other passengers were taken to a local hospital in Muskogee.

The investigator had contacted jurors who convicted Robert Bates of second-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of Eric Harris and recommended a four-year prison sentence.
