    Alabama Department of Corrections commissioner Jeff Dunn revealed on Monday that the state plans to close 14 "major" prison facilities as part of a transformation in corrections. The 14 prisons will be replaced by four larger facilities with the end result adding about 2,500 to 3,000 in the system's capacity.
