Though Kermit B. Gosnell, 75, of Philadelphia, is serving his life sentence in the State Correctional Institution Huntingdon primarily for murder related to botched late-term abortions, he also "admitted to a [DEA] investigator that he prescribed OxyContin ... to patients 'for their emotional well-being,'" according to state Board of Medicine documents . Gosnell wrote in a recent court filing that he drifted into pain management and addiction medicine around 2008. Comment?
