On January 1, 2016, East Precinct officers began a sexual assault investigation in the area of Southeast 47th Avenue and Woodstock Boulevard after a victim reported to police that she was hit over the head and sexually assaulted at approximately 3:30 a.m. The victim went to a hospital for medical treatment after the attack then called police to file the report.
