    Police closed a large section of Elm Park Sunday evening after an unattended briefcase was found near the Highland Street side of the park. Around 8 p.m., traffic on Russell Street was diverted as officers guarded the area, keeping vehicles and pedestrians out until a specially trained dog could be called in to sniff the package to determine whether it contained any dangerous materials.  Police said it was determined that the briefcase was not dangerous and it was taken away by an officer.

    WORCESTER – When Michaelangelo Mangual learned 6 inches of water had flooded his barbershop, forced his business' ceiling to cave and ruined every piece of equipment inside, he didn't know how'd he recover. Michaelangelo's Gentlemen's Barbershop was one of a few businesses affected by a large ice dam in February, which forced an upper floor beam to drop several inches inside the building at 138 Green St. The pressure came down on the building's sprinkler water main, officials said, causing it to burst.
