Slepyshev played in the 2013 world junior hockey championship with Nail Yakupov and was a teammate last season with former Oilers winger Teemu Hartikainen at Salavat Ufa. He will need some seasoning in the American Hockey League, but the 2013 third-round draft pick may not be that far away from being an NHLer.
