4 hrs ago | Anaheim Calling

A closer look at Anaheim's speedy left wing, Jiri Sekac, who shows promising potential for the upcoming season after falling into Boudreau's revolving door of line combinations. In a season full of highlight-worthy moments one of my favorites might be hearing Jiri Sekac call Tomas Fleischmann "old" when the duo was interviewed as two new faces to the Ducks franchise.

  3. Ducks' Biggest Question: Is their window already starting to close?Read the original story w/Photo

    23 hrs ago | MSNBC

In a young man's league, is the Anaheim Ducks' window to win the Stanley Cup already closing on them? The Ducks have a dynamic one-two punch in Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf while the presence of Ryan Kesler gives them a great anchor for their second line. But Getzlaf and Perry are 30 years old now while Kesler will be celebrating his 31st birthday on Aug. 31. To be clear, they're still very much in their prime, but their long-term deals mean that the Ducks will be paying top dollar for them well into their 30s.

  5. Under Pressure: Anaheim's goaltendersRead the original story w/Photo

    Yesterday | MSNBC

While GM Bob Murray went and made upgrades to his blue line and forward group during the offseason, one area of concern heading into the 2015-16 season is the Ducks' goaltending situation. Anaheim did acquire Anton Khudobin from the Carolina Hurricanes at the NHL Draft, but it's hard to say the 29-year-old is the solution to the Ducks' problem of inexperience in goal.

  6. Anaheim Ducks '14-15 OutlookRead the original story w/Photo

    Yesterday | MSNBC

The Anaheim Ducks are out to win the Stanley Cup now after falling just one win shy of beating the eventual champions in the Western Conference Final. They certainly have the core to go far, but do they have the depth? Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry are one of the best offensive duos in the league while Ryan Kesler is a great two-way center that helped improve their second line in his first campaign with Anaheim in 2014-15.

  11. Roster TurnoverRead the original story

    Friday | Anaheim Calling

These are just a few thoughts I had while watching NHL Network's replay of the Ducks v Kings, Stadium Series game at Dodger Stadium. You know, that game where they played outdoors in 70' degree weather, most of the guys sported eye-black, Jonas Hiller posted a shutout, the Ducks won 3-0, and we wore those kind-of-awesome, mostly-egregious orange uni's with the "reflective" D's on them? Yeah, that one.

  14. 2015 Season in Review: Emerson EtemRead the original story

Thursday Jul 30 | Anaheim Calling

Emerson Etem's last season in Anaheim brings up an interesting question: What happens when a breakout season doesn't look like a breakout season? Emerson Etem is no longer a Duck. It's a sad fate for someone who grew up a short freeway ride from the then Arrowhead Pond, and someone who shared my second home, Long Beach! Etem was a former first round selection for the Ducks , 29 overall.
