    New Delhi, Feb. 28: Severe heat wave conditions with temperatures rising five degrees or beyond the normal may occur this summer in some places in the country's "core heat wave zone" that spans 17 states, India's weather agency said today. The India Meteorological Department also said maximum temperatures in the heat wave zone are likely to be above normal from March to May. The core zone spans Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, among others.
