For all the insinuations about Cuonzo Martin coming "home" with his hire as Missouri head coach, "home" doesn't have any direct ties to the state of Missouri itself. Yes, he's from the St. Louis area, but Mizzou didn't factor into his recruitment heavily.

    Mar 17, 2017 | Rock M Nation

Among the many encouraging signs from the Missouri offense in 2016 -- the stalwart line, gunslingin' Drew Lock , 1,000-yard receiver J'Mon Moore , jack of all trades Dimetrios Mason - perhaps none were quite so encouraging as Damarea Crockett's breakout season. The Boise State poachee set Missouri freshman records with 1,062 rush yards and 10 scores on the ground, and he only got stronger as the season went on...before being suspended for the final game of the year after an arrest on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

But things can change quickly, especially if many of them make it to the Junior day the Tigers are hosting this weekend.

    Mar 9, 2017 | Rock M Nation

Until the very end, this was the patented "If it's not one thing, it's another" game that Mizzou has lived with so many times over the last few seasons. Mizzou made 47 percent of its 3-pointers, won the ball-handling battle handily, and kept Auburn off of the offensive glass but still almost lost because a) Mizzou made only 35 percent of its 2-pointers , b) Auburn also shot well from 3-point range, and c) Mizzou was even worse than Auburn on the offensive glass Almost lost, though.
