    It was kind of a weird weekend for Marquette women's soccer, although it kind of mirrored the opening weekend of the season. First, Marquette lost to a Portland team that's expected to finish towards the bottom of the West Coast Conference, then, less than 48 hours later, the Golden Eagles pasted a Boston University squad that's coming off an NCAA tournament appearance and expected to do well in the Patriot League.

    The American Hockey League has released their 2015-16 schedule, and since Marquette basketball shares a building with the Milwaukee Admirals, this is an important bit of scheduling news before we get our hands on the actual Big East schedule sometime in early September. When we looked at the Milwaukee Bucks' schedule , we learned that the NBA franchise that also occupies the Bradley Center had just one Saturday home game during the 10 weeks of the Big East schedule.
