    We'd like to presume that some sort of agreement was reached with the NCAA that this will be a sufficient act to stave off further significant sanctions/vacation of title. HOWEVER - If Syracuse, and to a lesser degree Miami, have taught us anything, it's that self-imposed bans do little to keep the NCAA from dropping the hammer, big time.

    Unless there turns out to be some wrongdoing by members of the current University of Louisville basketball team, punishing young men WHO HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG is blatantly unfair. It seems especially ironic that the man at the helm of the university, President Ramsey, brings down the hammer when his administration has been beset with allegations, many substantiated, of financial wrong doing.
