    The University of Delaware men's basketball team will face 10 squads that qualified for the postseason a year ago as the Blue Hens announced their challenging 2015-16 schedule on Tuesday. The Blue Hens, who finished 10-20 overall and 9-9 in the Colonial Athletic Association a year ago, will play 11 non-conference games this season before opening up their 18-game conference slate at Hofstra on New Year's Eve.

    In what was a makeup game from earlier this month, the Delaware State softball team tallied its fourth win in a row with a 12-0 five-inning victory over the visiting Morgan State Bears Wednesdayafternoon, behind the Hornets registering double digit runs and hits for the fourth consecutive game, in addition to sophomore Tara Tursellino tossing six K's on her way to her first-career no-hitter.This victory also resulted in Delaware State winning the season series, taking two out of three from the Bears, while Morgan State dropped its fourth straight overall.Leading 3-0 after the first inning, headlined by catcher Sandy Hawthorne driving in two runs with one of her two doubles on the day, DSU's Vanessa Washington made it a 4-0 ball game with a single to left to bring outfielder Nicole Gazzola, who reached base via a bunt single.

    Battling wet and chilly conditions, the Delaware State baseball team were unable to hold on to an early game lead at home Wednesday against the Delaware Blue Hens , as the Hornets suffered a 12-7 defeat.With this loss, the Hornets dropped their eighth in a row, while UD tallied its second straight win, after dropping its previous three.Leading 4-3 after two innings of play, DSU saw its lead evaporate in the third by way of two errors, resulting in the Blue Hens scoring three runs on four hits. The following frame, meanwhile, was a mirror image of the previous inning, as Delaware scored three runs on four hits and two Hornet errors to take a 9-4 lead.
