  5. Buffalo 80, Drexel 70: Takeaways from the Bulls' Sixth Win of the YearRead the original story

Tuesday Dec 16 | Bull Run

As I said in the instant reactions piece , the Bulls' win over Drexel today is not as much of a positive omen as last year's victory over the Dragons, but it is nice to see for the second straight game UB only trail for the opening bucket before pulling away. At the same time, it wasn't a dominant win like it could have been over a 2-6 team with a loss to Division II University of the Sciences.

  6. Buffalo 80, Drexel 70: Bulls Return Home, Defeat Dragons Tuesday NightRead the original story

Tuesday Dec 16 | Bull Run

The Bulls finally returned to Alumni Arena and never trailed after the opening bucket en route to an 80-70 victory In December 2013, UB's road win over Drexel under new coach Bobby Hurley was a sign that the program was on the right track after both a rocky start to the season and a transition from longtime head coach Reggie Witherspoon. It certainly wasn't program-defining, but it was a good win over a solid mid-major on the road.

Wednesday Dec 3 | Bull Run

Buffalo came into tonight's game without the services of Rodell Wigginton or Xavier Ford but well before a short bench was a factor the inside play of Saint Bonaventure put the Saint Bonaventure Bonnies up by 13 at the 7:42 mark of the first half. Buffalo was able to stop the bleeding and even pulled to within eight points but by that point in the game Lamonte Beardon had fouled out and UB was down to one player on the bench.
