The Governors and Rockets traded scoreless innings through the first four frames, but a leadoff triple to open the fifth inning, followed by a sacrifice fly to center field gave Toledo a 1-0 lead.

    Austin Peay State University's Morgan Rackel made history on Thursday for the APSU softball program as she became the first player in school history to earn National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors, being placed on the Central Region's Third-Team. The Calgary, Alberta, Canada native was one of 37 student-athletes to earn the honor from the Central Region, which includes the states from Carolina to Texas, while overall, 389 student-athletes from across country were named to their respective NFCA All-Region Teams.
