Both the June 18 and the Aug. 13 races next year will begin at 3 p.m. This season, the FireKeepers Casino 400 in June started at 1 p.m. and the Pure Michigan 400 on Aug. 28 starts at 2 p.m. The June race has started at 1 p.m. since 2010 and the August race has only started after 2 p.m. once since 2006.
