    The audio tapes of The Who performing "Tommy" in 1969 that Pete Townshend ordered be destroyed are going to be released. The live recordings will be part of the "Tommy" deluxe re-release on November 12. Townshend wrote in his autobiography, "Who I Am: A Memoir," that he told sound engineer Bob Pridden to destroy the tapes, and Townshend believed Pridden burned them in a bonfire in his garden.
