    The New Bedford LGBTQ Winter Film Series comes to a close with its final film, "How To Survive a Plague". As David France's premiere film, it is a 2012 documentary that focuses on the AIDs epidemic and activism to help provide better care for those with HIV and AIDS. “When ignored by public officials, religious leaders and the nation at large this group of young men and women chose to fight for their right to live by educating themselves and demanding to become full partners in the race for effective treatment,” said Paul Cassidy, HIV Program Coordinator for Greater New Bedford Community Health Center, of the film's story.
