Bauman, chair of the Council's Public Works Committee, the resolution adopted today directs the Department of Administration-Budget and Management Division and the Office of Environmental Sustainability, in conjunction with the City Attorney's Office and the Department of Public Works, to evaluate and report on the economic impact of the proposed Integrys acquisition.

    NAACP Milwaukee Branch and Voces de la Frontera today filed an Emergency Motion with the Wisconsin Supreme Court seeking a modification of the Court's July decision to delay the 11th hour implementation of the Photo ID requirement for purposes of the November 4th election. Gov. Walker's effort to hurriedly implement Photo ID will create confusion, uncertainty and will not allow election officials to conduct the election in a smooth and efficient manner, and most importantly, will disenfranchise many voters who may not be able to procure their Photo IDs - or the requisite underlying documentation - in time for the rapidly approaching general election.
