In a statement issued here, Jayalalithaa, expressing her grief at the deaths, said the bus was bound to Kumuli from Tirunelveli and the lorry was bound to Sencottah from Karur, when the accident happened near T.Kalupatti around 3 p.m. Police said that the injured have been admitted in a nearby hospital and investigations are on to ascertain the cause of accident.
