    Nelson-based fine chocolate producer Hogarth Craft Chocolate has secured a second raft of global awards wins in two weeks, taking home four gold awards in the 2017 International Chocolate Awards, announced on 27 June. Hogarth won gold again for their Dark Hazelnut Gianduia bar, Gran Blanco Peru bar, and for their Milk Hazelnut Chocolate Log.

    Bean-to-car chocolate maker Hogarth Craft Chocolate won a gold award in the flavoured dark chocolate bar section of the 2017 Academy of Chocolate Awards, and had been named as a finalist in three categories of the International Chocolate Awards. The Academy of Chocolate was set up in 2005 in the United Kingdom to promote awareness about the difference between fine chocolate and the mass-produced chocolate.

    Nelson company Hogarth Craft Chocolate has scored what is believed to be a first for NZ-made chocolate, winning a gold award in the flavoured dark chocolate bar section of the 2017 Academy of Chocolate Awards. This year's awards attracted almost double the amount of entries as 2016, with more than 600 entries submitted for judging in the chocolate bar categories alone.

    A 24-year-old native of Haiti - who has lived in the U.S. since he was a baby - says he is in immigration limbo after returning to the island. The Orlando Sentinel reports Henry Dorvil needed to briefly return to Haiti to straighten out his immigration status after unwittingly failing to renew his temporary protected status, which allowed him to stay in the U.S. But Dorvil has been stranded Haiti since December.

    The Help Henry campaign was started by a group of Sanford residents who want to help 24-year-old Henry Dorvil return from Haiti. Dorvil went to Haiti because of issues with his immigration but hasn't been able to return since December 2016.
