    UConn announced Thursday that it has agreed to a three-game series with former Big East Conference foe Villanova.  Monmouth, which went 27-7 overall, won the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference regular championship and earned an NIT bid last season, will face UConn for the first time on Dec. 2, according to the Asbury Park Press. The Huskies will serve as host at a site yet to be announced.  The two non-conference foes will strengthen an already tough non-conference schedule that includes trips to Arizona and Auburn and a neutral site game against Syracuse in the Jimmy V Classic on Dec. 5 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
