The Ava Lady Bears closed out the 2015-16 basketball season in the semifinals of the district basketball tournament, but not before Swofford made her mark as a four-year letterman at Ava High School. On Senior Night, when the Lady Bears hosted Willow Springs in the final home game of the season, Swofford scored her 1,000th career point when she sank two free throws in the second quarter.
