    Several streets were shut down just east of the Colorado Capitol late Tuesday afternoon after the report of a possible explosion at an apartment building. Denver Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Taylor said they firefighters responded to reports of an explosion and damage to a garden level apartment at 429 East 14th Avenue at 3:30 p.m. A witness told FOX31 Denver she heard an explosion, smelled smoke and felt heat.
